Jerry FlowersPresident / CEOAbout JerryJerry Flowers serves as the CEO and President of Southern Trust Mortgage, LLC bringing with him over 27 years experience in the mortgage banking industry. Jerry has been married to his wife, Lou, for 26 years. They and their 4 children reside in Courtland, VA. Jerry is a 1976 graduate of the School of Finance at the University of Richmond. He began his mortgage banking career in 1978 as a Loan Officer. In 1985, Jerry formed Merchants 1st Mortgage which was later acquired by Margaretten in 1988. He became Margaretten’s Regional Manager for over five years until he left to form his next mortgage company, 1st Home Mortgage. 1st Home Mortgage also became very successful and was soon acquired by Long Island Savings Bank in 1996. In 1997, Jerry Flowers and Kim Curtis joined forces and formed Southern Trust Mortgage. Shortly after, they were joined by Dennis Sullivan, Greg Mathis, and Jeff Jackson, whom together make up the five founding managing partners of Southern Trust Mortgage. In 2003, Middleburg Bank acquired 40% of Southern Trust Mortgage and has become a valuable banking partner as well.
